Chief Care Officer
Sunny is a distinguished business leader with an MBA from the University of Michigan and undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi. After spending over two decades helping high tech companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe,and Ebay with their growth strategies, he decided to spend the rest of his career doing something that is meaningful and fulfilling to him and his family.
He and his wife grew up in India, and their parents still live in Delhi. Given the thousands of miles separating them, they could not spend the quality time caring for their folks. They decided to take an approach to pay forward, by sharing their love and care with the residents at the Del Monte. He took the plunge to dedicate his life to this cause..
In his humble opinion, every facility provides care to the residents, but what residents really need is love, affection and a purpose. Under his leadership, lots of new activities have been incorporated, including but not limited to, trips to the beach, shopping mall excursions, weekly BBQs, monthly birthday brunches,sculpting, gardening, yoga, and live music performances amongst many others. He has also introduced a lot of volunteer programs. There are weekly fun activities where staff will bring their children to interact with the residents. His goal is to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where residents feel at home. And that is the Del Monte difference.
Chief Operating Officer
Julia was raised in an extensive family and has four children of her own. She is no stranger to how much effort it takes to keep a family growing forward and upward. Having never met her grandparents and losing her father and mother long before their time, she has a huge appreciation for aging and all the trials it comes with.
Julia has 18 years of experience in senior care. She was the acting Administrator for Del Monte for 14 years and remains with the company as Chief Operating Officer. In her new role, Julia continues to strive for compassionate care and devotes endless hours into ensuring each resident is safe & happy.
Chief Human Resources Officer
James serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer for The Del Monte, bringing over 18 years of HR experience to the team. Prior to joining Del Monte, he managed the Human Resources function in mid to large box companies in industries including retail, financial services, and marketing.
As the Chief People Officer James leads and coordinates a team of customer care professionals, including RNs, Caregivers, Kitchen Staff, Housekeeping, Transportation, Maintenance & Facilities, and Social Activities. James focuses on building customer relationships and client retention. James believes in leading by example and ensuring every employee and resident has a pleasant personalized experience with The Del Monte.
Janet is our Executive Assistant and has been giving care to the elderly for about 20 years. Her upbringing in a large close knit family has taught Janet to be patient, understanding, and empathetic.
She oversees medications, records and works closely with local pharmacist to make sure all resident medications are ordered and administered correctly as per physician orders. Janet’s continuous care and dedication have given the residents and their family peace of mind.
Community Outreach Director
Gabby is a long-time Monterey resident and recently completed her MBA at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. During her studies, she gained incredible experience working for social enterprises in Rwanda, Ireland, and Peru. Her love for beautiful Monterey and the familial atmosphere at Del Monte drew her to join the team and she loves getting to know the residents, work with the compassionate staff, and represent the facility.
Gloria has been a jack of all trades and a master of all. During her 8 years at Del Monte, she began as a caregiver then she transitioned as a Chef and is now the Activity Director. With all her various experiences, she is able to implement creative and fun ideas into each activity.
Her natural compassion allows her to develop close relationships with the residents. As an Activity Director, Gloria makes it her mission that each resident is participating in activities or gets one on one attention.
